Tennessee Valley Brings New Gas-Fired Plant On Line

ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. - The John Sevier Combined Cycle Plant, located near Rogersville, Tenn., began commercial operation on Monday, April 30, a month ahead of schedule and about $30 million under budget.
The plant uses natural gas to produce 880 MW of electricity, enough to power approximately a half-million homes.
