We don't have a crystal ball, but we do see omens of the power grid's future in the news each week.
Just this week, we saw U.S. senators introduce a 25% national RPS while a study of PJM confirmed 30% renewable penetration would slash electricity costs and pose no threat to grid reliability. The RPS has no chance of passing and 30% renewables is still some ways away, but it's a sign of the times. Renewables are in, coal is out.
