Event sponsored by Senator Cathleen Galgiani of California Legislative Rural Caucus to showcase how water technologies can provide relief during California drought
SPOKANE, WA – July 9, 2015 – Ambient Water (OTCQB: AWGI), a leading provider of atmospheric water generation systems for extracting water from humidity in the air, today announced it will be showcasing its atmospheric water generation technology at the California State Capitol building. The event will take place on Monday, July 13 on the North steps of the Capitol, facing L Street, with a demonstration at 9am PT and a press conference following at 10:30am PT.
The event will take place with support from members of the Rural Caucus, elected officials, and state agencies also expected attend. Ambient Water and its licensed partner in California, Pacific AirWell, will lead the demonstration, which comes several months after an initial visit to the Capitol to discuss the water technology with lawmakers.
“We had some very positive discussions when we met with policy-makers in April, so we are excited for the opportunity to showcase the technology and allow them to see it first hand. We’re thankful for the support we’ve received from lawmakers and are thrilled to have them on hand for the event,” said Keith White, Founder and CEO of Ambient Water. “The people of California are in great need of some sort of relief, as the summer will only continue to get hotter and drier, and conservation becomes more difficult. We very much want to – and believe we can be – part of the solution to the California water crisis and look forward to showcasing our water solutions.”
The public demonstration comes as California lawmakers search for new ways to alleviate the growing water scarcity issues throughout the state. California’s Gov. Jerry Brown already imposed water restrictions in April, limiting consumption for the first time in the State’s history. But now attention turns to commercial technologies that can help bridge the gap where conservation and natural resources have fallen short.
One such technology, atmospheric water generation, arrived in California last month when Ambient Water granted Pacific AirWell exclusive rights to sell the technology statewide. The deal guarantees the sale of at least $1 million worth of technology within California in the first year and would provide instant relief to residential communities, farmers, and other commercial entities that have been burdened by the drought.
“This demonstration is the next step as part of ongoing discussions with lawmakers and the Governor’s office, state agencies, and regulatory authorities toward finding innovative ways to reduce the demands upon surface and ground water, and effectively mitigate California’s drought by improving the State’s drought resiliency,” said Matt Gray, CEO of Pacific AirWell. “We are grateful for lawmakers’ support and look forward to showcasing our technology and hopefully bringing relief to the people of California.”
