The CHARGE Energy Branding Awards ceremony was carried out last night in Reykjavík, Iceland.
The CHARGE Awards are the only energy specific branding awards in the world and honour energy brands that have done outstanding work in connecting with their customers. The CHARGE Awards are the grand finale of the CHARGE Energy Branding Conference held in Reykjavik October 9-10. Conference attendees are energy and marketing professionals from all over the world.
“The brands we honour tonight have it in common that they are doing outstanding branding work. They are the world’s best energy brands according to our international panel of judges, who reviewed case studies of the brands and business models of all the nominees” says Dr. Friðrik Larsen, the Chairman of CHARGE Energy Branding Conference and the CHARGE Awards.
“Tonight’s winners not only scored high with our panel but also with their own customers. We carried out customer surveys to research factors like brand image, brand strength, customer satisfaction etc. to really get the true opinions of each brand’s customers – because branding is all about connecting with your customers” says Dr. Larsen

About the CHARGE Awards
The only awards that honour companies in the energy space for building strong brands that connect successfully to customers. To create a shortlist of eligible brands, a global panel of 40 professionals from the energy sector, marketing, consulting and academia, suggests energy brands according to strict criteria. After a screening of the shortlist, a rigorous process takes place to find the top 3-5 brands in each category. To decide the winner, the finalists need to know their own brand and communicate it effectively to the panel in a case study. To find out if the brands are effective in the marketplace, a customer research is conducted on each brand. The finalists this year have operations all over the world – from the Americas, Europe, Japan and Oceania.
