Senior Regulatory Analyst #79604

 

Puget Sound Energy’s State Regulatory Affairs Department is looking for a Senior Regulatory Analyst to join our Pricing and Cost of Service group. 

 

The Pricing and Cost of Service Group plays an integral role at PSE in the development of analyses that support the allocation of the costs to provide electric and natural service to our customers and the rates that are charged for these services. 

 

This role supports those functions by preparing, collecting, compiling, analyzing, and reporting on technical, demographic, and financial data of the utility to serve as a basis for preparation of cost of service, regulatory reporting, rate setting and pricing, and other fiscal planning.  Depending upon experience, this person will develop expert testimony or provide witness support in regulatory proceedings. 

 

The ideal candidate will be well organized, have strong analytical and communication skills, have experience in state regulatory proceedings, have a general understanding of electric and natural gas utility system planning and operations, and be proficient in the use of SAP Business Warehouse and SAS programming.


At the discretion of the hiring team, this position may also be filled as a Regulatory Analyst depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, or applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

    5 years of utility experience and a thorough understanding of state regulation of electric and gas utilities.

  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA and/or MBA.
