Job Description

Job Summary

The Accounting Manager | Office Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and manage the day to day accounting and operational functions, and administrative, including certain HR matters. The individual will also interact closely with other departments including, sales, operations, legal, tax, and HR.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Essential job functions

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including, month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, expense reimbursements, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital expenditures and assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity
  • Oversees the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to senior management as well as to corporate directors
  • Lead, manage and present weekly operating status reports as well as monthly operational management reports
  • Help develop and maintain financial models for purposes of planning, budgeting, and project/partner development
  • Work closely with the Project Finance team on revenue recognition and modeling assumptions
  • Review working capital and cash flow requirements on a regular basis
  • Manage and oversee other various office and administrative functions

 

Minimum requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in the accounting or finance required; MBA or CPA is a plus
  • Minimum five years of accounting, analysis, budgeting, planning and financial reporting experience is required
  • Successful, significant experience as an accounting or finance manager in a growing dynamic company, preferably in an international or start-up environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, forecasting models, cost accounting. Knowledge of revenue recognition principals
  • Strong attention to detail is an absolute must
  • Project finance or tax equity background and experience would be desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • Expert knowledge (not just advanced – should be able to write macros) and working experience with MS Excel required
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
