Job Description

Puget Sound Energy’s Revenue Requirement Department is looking for a Revenue Requirement Consultant or lower to join our team. 

Provides expert testimony to WUTC and other agencies on behalf of the Company.  Assists in representing company on regulatory policy with internal and external parties. Assist in development of regulatory policy and strategy. Assists in negotiations with customers, agencies and regulators.

Prepares revenue, cost and pricing information for regulatory processes; coordinate and compile regulatory filings and proceedings; prepares, provides and presents results of analysis to project and process decision makers; prepares responses to data requests; prepares, compiles and transmits industry and regulatory reports. Performs research regarding regulatory matters. 

Prepares accounting instructions associated with regulatory issues.  Ensures adherence to SOX controls.  Provides training, direction and guidance within the department as necessary.

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

At the discretion of the hiring team, this role may be filled at a lower level.


  • Proactively identifies business situations that require regulatory solutions and present alternatives to management.

    Works with other departments in understanding their impact on regulatory processes.

  • Oversees and prepares management reports comparing financial and regulatory results.

  • Assists in preparing regulatory and rate case reports and adjustments.

  • Reviews work product prepared by other’s in the department.

  • Interfaces with other PSE departments to obtain or provide information.

  • Interfaces with external parties in the regulatory arena especially during audit and fieldwork of the company’s records by commission staff.

  • Assists in negotiations for regulatory filings.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and 7 years’ experience utility specific experience (electric/gas) with a working knowledge of Revenue Requirements or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.


  • CPA and/or MBA.
  • 7 years direct experience in Revenue Requirements in electric/gas utility.
  • Knowledge of SAP and FERC module.
