White Plains, NY – Nora Madonick, CEO and Founder of Arch Street Communications (ASC), is proud to announce that Cypress Creek Renewables (CCR) has awarded ASC the contract to lead the Article 10 public involvement program plan and strategic engagement for its proposed 100-megawatt (MW) project called Bear Ridge Solar. The project, located in the towns of Cambria and Pendleton in Niagara County, NY, will be Cypress Creek’s first utility scale solar project in New York State.
“Winning the Bear Ridge Solar contract is an important award for ASC and deepens our bench of experience working in energy in New York. We are excited about the shift toward renewables and the innovations that allow utility scale solar to come to the Empire State,” said Madonick. “ASC is committed to supporting clean energy projects to help New York State meet the ambitious Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) goal that mandates 50 percent of power must come from renewables by 2030.”
A certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), ASC brings over 25 years of experience in strategic engagement to the Bear Ridge Solar Project. Partnering with clients in both the private- and public-sectors in energy and transportation, ASC provides strategic communications and public outreach support through local, state and federal approval processes including New York State’s Environmental Quality Review (SEQR), Article VII, Article 10, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), among others. Cypress Creek Renewables has emerged as one of the nation’s leading fully-integrated solar developers with over 2 GW across four States—enough to power 500,000 homes. The company has projects operational or in development in 32 states across the country, and in 2017 alone, built nearly 15 percent of all utility-scale solar installed in the United States, more than any other utility-scale solar developer. In its 2018 list, Solar Power World magazine recognized Cypress Creek Renewables as the No. 2 overall “Top Solar Contractor”, and No. 1 Solar Developer in the US. An innovator in project design, CCR has committed to developing pollinator habitats on every solar project throughout New York State in support of local agriculture, economies, and the environment.
ASC adds CCR and the Bear Ridge Solar Project to an expanding roster of renewable energy initiatives in New York State, including support for a wind farm project off Long Island.
