Atlantic Municipal Utilities in Atlantic, Iowa, chose Tantalus for its advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) deployment.
The Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities contributed to the project with funds from a U.S. Department of Energy grant to develop a more intelligent and more efficient energy grid.
AMU selected Tantalus based on the technical advantages of the Tantalus Utility Network, which provides consumption reporting, power-quality monitoring, outage notification and voltage alarms for AMU and its customers.
