A report from European transmission system operators says the cost of electricity transmission systems to support the region's rapid growth in renewable energy production will be $137 billion.
That's the sticker price for thousands of miles of new transmission lines needed to meet the European Union's goals of integrating the numerous new sources of renewable energy.
