Students at Ferrisburgh Central School are demonstrating the importance of energy efficiency and conservation to their homes and communities, while also learning lessons that will help them save energy and money throughout their lives.
This is thanks in part to Green Mountain Power (GMP), who will assist the school in working with a local solar installer to erect an approximately 2.5 kW solar array at the school. The panels will produce approximately 3,300 kilowatt hours of power annually and are expected to save the school at least $600 in yearly electricity costs.
