San Francisco, CA January 22, 2016: ElectrIQ Power, an energy management company developing hardware and software technologies for the cleantech space, commenced Wearable IoT World’s Winter 2016 session this week after collecting an unprecedented four thousand pre-orders for its IQ System home battery and software.
ElectrIQ Power team members are working out of Wearable IoT World (WIoTW) offices in San Francisco for a 15-week program to learn alongside fellow entrepreneurs and WIoTW team members. WIoTW mentors discuss business strategy, fundraising, prototyping, manufacturing best practices, marketing and business development. WIoTW also provides weekly workshops, events, and one-on-one sessions with WIoTW team members to build essential skill sets and learn startup best practices and provides access to some of the industry’s leading venture capital investors.
In the week prior to starting WIoTW, the company was featured in the trade publication, Clean Technica which prompted a flood of inquiries and pre-orders. Solar installers, distributers, real estate developers, NPO’s and financial institutions alike found ElectrIQ Power’s offering irresistibly unique and compelling. Ray Boggs CEO, Nationwide Solar said of ElectrIQ;
“I am excited to say the least about the prospect of adding your product line to our offerings and can’t wait to get our contractors trained and in the field installing your systems. I have been researching vendors for nearly a year now and have not found any product that even comes close to meeting our requirements like your product line does.”
And Tunde Ogundeko, CEO of Signature Development of Chicago said;
“We have been researching/planning the feasibility of launching a scalable solar+storage solution system for residential application for some time. In fact, until Sunday when we stumbled onto your interview in Clean Technica, we had settled on Tesla’s Powerwall, Sonnen, LG and possibly Orison (not yet directly integrated with PV) as our initial preferred brands. Then your announcement in Clean Technica - this is a game changer for us.”
Chadwick Manning, CEO of ElectrIQ Power commented that “ElectrIQ Power is not only extraordinarily grateful for these pre-orders, but we are delighted that the industry recognizes the tremendous benefits our products offer and the advantages our system has for not only the end user, but for the complete alternative energy industry.”
Chadwick went on to say “We are also excited to bring this momentum to the WIoTW Class. With the help of the mentors at WIoTW, we expect to get the funding we need to make the promise of our superior engineering and design concept a reality. Only eighty (80) startup companies have thus far earned the right to attend this program and I think our acceptance demonstrates the viability of our concept and products.”
Kevin Manning, Chief Revenue Officer of ElectrIQ Power commented that “ElectrIQ Power has several patents pending and relationships with three world class component partners that, together are developing a system that is unlike any other on the market in terms of its efficiencies, safety, capabilities and features. We know our product will be able to compete and out perform any other solution on the market”.
About ElectrIQ Power, Inc.
ElectrIQ Power, Inc., based in San Leandro, CA, was started by Chadwick Manning and Jim Lovewell in late 2014.The company set up its first lab in Jim’s garage in San Leandro where Jim, a graduate of Stanford University and forty-year engineering veteran of Silicon Valley had amassed dozens of powerful batteries, inverters, solar panels and test equipment in an effort to speed the charging of his electric cars. At the same time, Chadwick was also looking for a way to maximize the charge on his electric car. Having started 2 companies previously, received his Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from the University of San Diego, and completed three years at PWC as well as two years at a Y-Combinator – funded company, he saw an opportunity to build the most sophisticated energy management and storage system in the world.
