Clarity Grid Releases 2Q Nodal Updates for US ISOs Houston (September) – Clarity Grid Solutions (Clarity Grid), the most robust energy data platform on the US power grid, has completed its update of US Nodal additions for Load and Generation for the 2nd Quarter 2022. Overt the recent Quarter there were significant additions to Clarity’s Nodal Library of ISO Generated Load and Generation Price Node locations. These Price Nodes are widely used in the Industry for determining optimal siting for new generation/storage, identifying areas of transmission inefficiencies (congestion), and or understanding changes in grid composition by fuel type, amongst others. The recent additions to the Node Library brings Clarity’s total Nodal coverage to 72,904.. Despite the addition of two large Utility EIM Members to CAISO (BPA and Tucson Electric), little meaningful new Generation or Load was added to the Seven ISO Grid System during the Second Quarter of 2022. In fact, with the exception of the almost 2.5 GW of Solar and 250 mw of Storage in Ercot, virtually no new Generation Capacity was added to US ISO Grid capacity during the most recent quarter.
