TerraGo, a leading provider of innovative software solutions for cities and utilities, announced today the addition of Eric Barger as Senior Director of Services, as the company continues to experience rapid growth and increased demand for its next-generation infrastructure management software. This strategic hire is part of TerraGo’s broader investment to deepen its bench of industry experts, ensuring that the company remains a trusted partner for cities and utilities as they face new challenges and opportunities, from grid modernization to decarbonization, and beyond.
“TerraGo is proud to welcome Eric and bring more proven and well-earned domain expertise to the benefit of our customers. Eric’s depth of experience, especially in smart lighting and utility operations, is a tremendous asset as we continue scaling our services,” said Dave Basil, President & CEO at TerraGo. “By pairing industry experts with our fully customizable software platform, we can deliver clear, measurable savings and operations efficiencies. We’re excited to welcome him to the team and look forward to what we’ll accomplish together, with our partners and for our customers.”
Barger adds over twenty years of utility experience to the TerraGo team, including more than 18 years in outdoor lighting with BGE. Barger led BGE’s smart lighting program, guiding it from early R&D stages to full-scale deployment of connected field technology. In this role, he also served as product owner for IT development, overseeing the successful integration and implementation of complex software systems. Most recently, Barger has managed a team of business and financial analysts supporting BGE’s $2.4 billion Strategy and EmPOWER Maryland budget, with a strong focus on clean energy solutions and long-term sustainability initiatives.
“Because I had the opportunity to deploy TerraGo software at Exelon, I know from firsthand experience the power of this platform to modernize field operations and infrastructure maintenance,” said Barger. “I am thrilled to be able to leverage this software to empower customers to embrace digital transformation and become more agile, sustainable, and efficient.”
