Bob Rowe brings to Technosylva a wealth of guidance from a career across multiple sectors. He is currently a Venture Partner with The Westly Group and a Senior Advisor to Guggenheim Securities. Previously, Bob served as President and CEO of NorthWestern Energy from 2008 until his retirement in 2023. Under Bob’s leadership, NorthWestern significantly grew its critical energy infrastructure, tripling its market capitalization, earnings per share, rate base, and notably acquired 11 hydropower facilities. Bob also championed a strong company culture focused on safety and service, earning NorthWestern Energy a national reputation for excellent corporate governance and a comprehensive ESG program.
Bob serves on various boards and organizations, including chair of the American Gas Foundation Board; a member of the EEI Global Executive Leadership Network; and as a Senior Fellow at the University of Florida Public Utility Research Center. Previously, Bob served on the American Gas Association Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He served on the EEI Board of Directors and Executive Committee, co-chairing their Institute for Electric Innovation and its CEO Committee on State Policy & Engagement. He also served on the Western Energy Institute (WEI) Board of Directors and is the past chair of its Executive Committee.
