Recurve, the demand flexibility platform provider, has raised $12.6 million from existing investors, including Quantum Capital Group. The round gives Recurve the financial flexibility and operational runway to meet growing market demand as the grid faces challenges associated with rising power prices, greater electricity demand, and ambitious decarbonization goals.
Recurve’s FLEX platform is used by utilities, community choice aggregators, regional energy networks, and program implementers responsible for measurable demand-side performance. It simplifies the process of designing and deploying modern demand-side portfolios, from forecasting and targeting to daily tracking, optimization, and settlement. FLEX currently manages more than 54 million meters across the country and supports portfolios ranging from early-stage pilots to fully integrated, performance-based programs valued at over $70 million.
“Everyone agrees demand-side resources are critical,” said Zach Robin, Chief Executive Officer of Recurve. “The challenge is execution. FLEX was built for the people accountable for results — utilities, CCAs, implementers — not for reports, but for performance. This raise gives us what we need to scale a platform that’s already working and put it in the hands of the teams that need it now.”
“Recurve has built a leading demand-side software platform and is operating at utility scale,” said Rob Meister, Managing Director at Quantum Capital Group. “In recent years, Zach and team have made impressive strides in closing the gap between regulatory ambition and operational execution. The platform is proven, the need is urgent, and this team knows how to deliver.”
The financing also supports the expansion of Recurve’s strategic partnership with Calpine Energy Solutions, which leverages FLEX in its work with leading community choice aggregators across multiple markets.
Recurve’s platform is designed to integrate with existing systems, partners, and market structures. It avoids proprietary vendor lock-in and delivers results that hold up to regulatory and operational scrutiny. For utilities and providers navigating the pressures of electrification, DER growth, and reliability planning, FLEX offers a path to action grounded in data-backed evidence.
Founded in 2015, Recurve pioneered the industry’s first demand flexibility platform, enabling utilities and their partners to forecast, measure, and optimize demand-side performance while simplifying program delivery. Built for the teams responsible for measurable grid outcomes, the FLEX platform provides transparent, auditable metrics to manage program portfolios at scale. Utilities rely on FLEX to manage more than 54 million meters nationwide, helping align demand with reliability, affordability, and decarbonization goals. Learn more at recurve.com.
