Pennsylvania Electric Co., a FirstEnergy Corp. unit, is consolidating service operations in Altoona, Ebensburg, Bedford and Huntingdon.
It expects to have all the changes in place in the fall. The company says it's looking to increase efficiency and get better response times.
Some workers are being relocated to an Altoona Service Center, with Penelec facilities slated to close in Ebensburg, Bedford and Huntingdon closing.
