Juwi Wind Canada, part of German green energy company Juwi, is set to develop a 6-MW wind project in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia in partnership with local developer Community Wind Farms.
The company said that the Millbrook First Nation, which will be the majority owner of the three-turbine project, recently received a community feed-in tariff award from the Nova Scotia Department of Energy.
This enables Juwi Wind Canada and the Millbrook First Nation to move forward with the project and spend the next 12 to 18 months conducting the required resource measurement campaigns, environmental assessments and community engagement, according to the statement.
