Chartwell, Inc., a leading provider of utility industry research focused on customer-facing issues, is pleased to announce that Christopher Eisenbrey has joined the company as Executive Director of the Chartwell Utility Resilience Institute. In this role, he will lead the Institute’s growth as a resource for utility leaders focused on organizational resilience.
Eisenbrey brings more than 30 years of electric utility industry experience, most recently serving as Senior Director of Preparedness and Recovery Policy at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). At EEI, he led initiatives in mutual assistance, emergency preparedness, business continuity, spare equipment sharing, response coordination, and operational resilience for utilities across North America. Prior to his time at EEI, Eisenbrey worked for organizations supporting nuclear power owners and operators and Japanese electric utilities.

In his new role, Eisenbrey will lead the Institute’s research, benchmarking, council, conference, and executive engagement activities while working with utility leaders to identify emerging risks, share best practices, develop performance benchmarks, and accelerate resilience initiatives across Chartwell’s services.
