Some of the top leaders in electric-power transmission will get together to examine important issues facing transmission projects under way in the Lone Star State.
TransForum Texas will be held April 24-26 in San Antonio. Among the topics up for discussion will be Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ), power exportation from Texas to surrounding locales, financing transmission projects and grid planning.
Among the discussion leaders, planners say, will be:

- Wayne Morton, general manager of Wind Energy Transmission
- David Stidham, senior vice president and CEO of Tres Amigas, LLC
- Bill Bojorquez, vice president, planning, Hunt Transmission Services
- Michael Tribolet, managing director of Wells Fargo Bank, U.S. Corporate Banking Power and Utilities Group
- Brian Lloyd, executive director of the Texas Public Utility Commission
- James Checkley Jr., vice president of legal and regulatory affairs, Cross Texas Transmission
