A 10 MW wind farm planned for Highgate, Ontario, northern shore of Lake Erie between Chatham-Kent and London, will be the first Canadian project by global wind energy firm Gamesa Technology Corp.
Gamesa will supply five turbines for the Gesner Wind Farm, which is being developed by Saturn Power.
The offtake will be purchased by the Ontario Power Authority.
The project, located about 70 miles east of Detroit, Mich., will feature five Gamesa G97 2.0 MW turbines on 90-meter towers.
