- New York State's transmission companies have renewed their proposal for a public-private company to build and own new infrastructure and have outlined projects for it.
- The companies say the New York Transmission Co. they outline would confer environmental benefits; generate more than $7 billion in economic activity, 12,000 direct jobs and nearly 38,000 total jobs, and encourage renewable generation that they say can bring $4.6 billion more in economic activity and 8,000 direct jobs.
