- Public Service Enterprise Group, which will take over Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) operating services in 2014, has named David Daly, a 25-year veteran, to run that new division, which will serve 1.1 million customers in New York state's Suffolk and Nassau counties and a section of Queens in New York City.
- At the same time, LIPA said it now has all approvals needed to shift to PSEG Long Island, LLC, an indirect subsidiary of (PSEG, when National Grid's contract expires on Dec. 31, 2013.
- Daly has been with PSEG's Public Service Eletyric & Gas subsidiary in several positions, including vice president of energy acquisition and technology, electric system division manager, director of utility operations services, director of corporate strategy and general manager of transmission planning.
