An Electric Power Research Institute that opens, "A new era of Plug-In Electric Vehicles (PEVs) has begun" and looks at paths utilities might follow in accommodating a new power use.
Electric vehicles are not a fad, EPRI says, so its report aims "to provide a detailed status on commercial rollout of plug-in vehicles, to describe the key vehicle and infrastructure technologies, and to outline a number of potential roles for electric utilities to consider when developing electric transportation readiness plans."
