- Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois announced Monday that it has received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to go forward with its Spoon River and Mark Twain transmission construction projects.
- The projects are part of a $1.3 billion group of projects approved by the Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator Inc. (MISO) last year.
- The announcement listed enhanced cost-recovery mechanisms and protections to support investment among the benefits to be gained by the approvals.
